Cerritos Water Polo (2006): Named 1st Team All-American, 1st Team All-State, 1st Team All-Southern California and 1st Team All-South Coast Conference… Scored 102 goals on the year, which was one shy of trying for the school record, to go along with a team-high 50 assists and 47 steals… His 50 assists are still tied fourth most in a season, and also added 50 ejections drawn, which is fourth most in school history… Was voted the team’s Most Valuable Player…..

Montebello HS: As a senior in high school, he was named the CIF Division III Most Valuable Player, as well as the Almont League Most Valuable Player… Was selected 1st Team All-League and was voted his team’s Player of the Year… Selected the San Gabriel All-Star MVP… In his junior year, he helped lead his team to the CIF Division III championship, while also being named the league’s MVP and 1st Team All-CIF… Was also chosen 1st Team All-League that season… Team won the league title his sophomore year and he was voted their MVP as a freshman… Played for Sergio Macias, who is now the Falcon women’s water polo and swimming coach…

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he scored six goals against Long Beach City College… Would like to transfer to Whittier College and aspires to be either a sports broadcaster or work in radio… Has two brothers – Luis (27), who is the Cerritos women’s water polo assistant coach and Miguel (18)… Played on the USA Junior National Team in a Junior World Championship tournament… Is the son of Joana Barragan… Born in Los Angeles, CA on January 2, 1987…..
